Dioscorides, an Ancient Greek physician thought very highly of feverfew due to its effect on the uterus. It was used to help irregular contractions for normal afterbirth. Dioscorides later went on to recommend the herb for "all inflammations and hot swellings." He may have been making reference to arthritis.

Feverfew is said be more effective on such ailments as fever or inflammation than Aspirin.

The word, 'migraine' may have come from the Greek term meaning, "half of the skull." Researchers suggest that you don't take feverfew after you feel a headache coming on. Instead, you should take feverfew daily to prevent the onset of a migraine.

Another important note: Alcohol can destroy feverfew's benefits.
