On a scale from one to ten, I would be crazy not to give these at least an eight, but I am shooting straight for a ten when I factor in the nutritional advances as well! The Fiber One chewy bar tastes like a great granola bar, only slightly sticky sweet, like a rice crispy treat. The chocolate is melt in your mouth creamy, and each bar is packed with chocolate chips too, so every bite is full of what you crave the most.
There is nothing misleading about the packaging either. Unlike some bars that advertise great tasting food and don't deliver, Fiber One does deliver! Fiber One is also approved Best Life, through Bob Greene, who happens to be Oprah's trainer.
Each box has five (5) 1.4 oz. Fiber One bars. These little bars are a bit pricey ranging from about $2.50 all the way up to $3.99 a box. I must say that they are completely worth the price. These delicious bars make a great on the go breakfast, mid day snack or even midnight snack. It has the power to curb your sweet tooth and has the nutritional benefits to back it up. Each Fiber One Chewy Bar contains 35% of your daily fiber intake. At only 140 calories and only 10 grams of sugar (most bars have 20+ grams of sugar) they are a perfect addition to your life style. Fiber One Chewy Bars can also boast about being a good source of calcium and having at least 8 grams of whole grains per serving.
I love these bars, and think of them as a treat, not a nutritional bar. Luckily for me, they not only satisfy my hunger and taste great, but they are good for me too. In moderation of course, I don't try to live on them! They do make a healthy swap out for a candy bar or another more sugary snack you may crave. The other thing I love about these Fiber One bars is that they have NO artificial sweeteners in it. No splenda, aspartame...nothing. I am not a fan of fake sugars at all and I never allow my children to eat anything with artificial sweeteners, so I am proud to say that I can enjoy these bars with my kids as well. And they love the Fiber One bars too!
If Chocolate isn't your flavor, don't fret. Fiber One's Chewy Bars come in four flavors to chose from. So look out for them at your grocery store and pick up a box, you'll be happy you did.
