If you are familiar with Kellogg's Pop Tarts than you should familiarize yourself with Fiber One's New Toaster Pastries! Fiber One's new Toaster Pastries are a healthier option with a great taste that everyone in the family will enjoy. Todays' review is on the specific Fiber One Toaster Pastry Chocolate Fudge flavor.
If you are a chocolate junkie, than these Fiber One Toaster Pastries are for you. They taste great. They look just like a Kellogg's Pop Tart - but may even taste better. The best thing is you don't have to feel as guilty when indulging in a Fiber One Toaster Pastry as a Kellogg's Pop Tart. Why you ask? Because the Fiber One brand packs high doses of your recommended fiber intake.
In each Fiber One Chocolate Fudge Toaster Pastry, you will get a whopping 20% of your recommended fiber intake! According to the makers of Fiber One, nine out of ten Americans do not get their recommended amounts of fiber. Are you one of the nine out of ten Americans who could use more fiber in your diet? Well, adding fiber rich food to your diet may be easier with the new Fiber One product line. Especially the warm, chocolate Fiber One Toaster Pastries!
As far as the price goes, I have found that Fiber One Toaster Pastries retails for the same or close to the same price as a box of Kellogg's Pop Tarts. The catch is, a typical box of Kellogg's Pop Tarts is an eight count box, where as Fiber One is only a six count box. But, I have also found that Fiber One Toaster Pastries often go on sale at most grocery stores (probably because it's a newer product) and can actually end up costing LESS than it's competitor; Kellogg's Pop Tarts.
A standard size box of Fiber One Toaster Pastries cost around $1.99 (for six pastries) at most grocery stores. Again, catching the sales, you may be able to find Fiber One Toaster patsies for less. Besides Chocolate Fudge, Fiber One Toaster Pastries are available in Strawberry, Blueberry and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.
Like it's competition, Fiber One puts two pastries per package, meaning each six count box has only three wrapped packages in it. So like many people, I eat them both at once! Just remember that EACH pastry contains 190 calories and 16 grams of sugar. Yes, if you eat both, than you are getting 40% of your daily fiber, but it's probably not wise to get almost half of your daily fiber from eating chocolate!
