We went during Spring Break so we expected it to be crowded. The park opened at 10:30am. We pulled up just at that time to fine an extremely long, un-organized line of cars. Purchasing parking passes in advance only saves the $1.00 but doesn't save time because you still have to wait in line. Since we purchased our tickets to the park in advance, we were spared the huge line for tickets and went straight through. The park is very clean! You can see they pride themselves on cleanliness.
We waited in line for our first ride. The ride was well worth the wait. In fact, all the rides we did ride were worth the wait. Having said that, the average wait time for each ride is about 2 hours. That's a long time to stand. It would be nice if their lines had occasional benches for the people in line to sit and rest their feet. Quite a few people cut in line. This is specifically noted in the park details that you can be ejected from the park if you are caught cutting in line. One group that cut was bold enough to skip over 30 people in line and not even act like they knew someone saving them a spot. The others were bigger than us and we were too intimidated to say anything to them. You have to be safe so to avoid arguments or possible violence, it is best to not say anything to them and if you can find a park employee and inform them, which is recommended. You can purchase a Fast Pass that allows you to skip to the front of the line but it's $35 to $45 per person to use this and it's only good for 11 uses. The way it is setup, it caused the wait to be a bit longer for those who have been waiting in line. I did not purchase this so I couldn't say if it would be worth it but it would make your total entry fee close to $100 for the day.
Food at the park is expected to be expensive. There were 5 of us and we ate at Pappa Johns. The cost was $55.00 for 4 personal pizzas, cheese sticks, a salad & 4 drinks. That's not terribly too bad but since you can't bring your food in the park, you are at the mercy of their high prices. You can bring a cooler and keep it in your car. If you get a stamp to leave the park, you can come back in without having to pay again. If you have a lot of people, you can save money by packing the lunches and exiting the park for a quick meal.
Overall, I'd say the park is worth the expense. We arrived at 10:30am and left at 9:00pm. We only got to ride 4 rides and stopped for lunch. We were going to ride a 5th ride however close to 9:00pm; the ride broke so our wait of 1.5 hours was over with no ride. If you are in it for the thrill of the rides then I'd say go for it but know if you go during peak times, you can expect to only experience about 5 thrills for the day due to the wait time. Enjoy!

Post a CommentI agree with you; too many cutters in line and there should be ample sitting for rides with long wait times.
No, it was not worth the expense to me. Imagine if it had been the summer time. How long would the lines have been then? Probally able to ride just 2 rides. Kim K
