Fight Capitalism with Capitalism

How to Battle the Corporate Jackasses Screwing You Over

Sean Bracken
Most people in America know that the current way things are done in this country have not been good for the middle class and their families. You don't need me to tell you that. You know that corporate greed exists out there no matter if it is the oil companies, drug companies, insurance companies, public utility companies, and many other companies like that. A lot of these practices shown by these dickheads in the corporate business world have left the middle class screwed.

Some have suggested that it is the middle class' fault for why things are the way they are. I would agree with those people, but for other reasons. The people on the TV basically say that the middle class are in trouble because they won't get a better job. They work their asses off, but according to these millionaire morons, it is their fault they are in this situation.

Again, I would agree, but for different reasons. The reason I agree with the statement in principle that it is the middle class' fault their lives are bad is because of the fact that they don't fight back. Ever since Bill Clinton took the presidency, many of these despicable companies have been deregulated. The oil companies, health care companies, and public utility companies were basically left on their own to feed off of the middle class and screw them. But the worst part of it is that the middle class allows them to get away with these techniques of gouging us. The middle class is allowing them to oppress us and kick us when we are down. That has increased the wage gap between the workers who actually work a day in their lives and the millionaires who don't have to work a true day in their lives.

What the middle class doesn't understand is that until we stand up and fight these corporate idiots taking advantage of us, then capitalism will never work. Too many middle class people say that if we just wave the magic wand that those companies screwing us will care about the people they are screwing. Too many middle class people say that if only we give these idiots more power and business that they will automatically change and become sympathetic to us. All of that is wrong!

Capitalism never ever works when people just roll over and let greed conquer. Capitalism doesn't work when only the top benefit in the economy because we let them have the benefits. I know many people who work for a living everyday continue to give money to these greed money sucking varmints. These hardworking people give the millionaire morons in the utility companies, the health care companies, and the other corporate companies business hoping for forgiveness from them. But like I said, this is the perfect example when capitalism fails. Capitalism is indeed failing now and to a large part, it is our fault.

Let me give you an example of what I am talking about. Across the country, many state governments are deregulating the public utility companies, such as the electric companies, the natural gas companies, and the water companies. Before that time, prices were high, but not so out of control. Now the prices went from being high to being so out of control because we let the governments in the state level to this to us. We let the state governments tell the public utility companies to do whatever they want, which was when the price of heating your house skyrocketed so much over the past years. In my state of Pennsylvania alone, the utility companies have raised their rates every single year by roughly 30% a year. This all happened when the state governments were allowed by the middle class to deregulate them. It was all because the middle class thought these companies would decide to give us candy and flowers and that they would give us a break on our prices if only we deregulated the market, opened it up, and increased competition.

Notice that this is the exact definition of faith based policies that have dragged us to the ground. When the federal government deregulated oil, what did the price do? The price went up and went up fast. When the states deregulated public utility companies, what did the price do? The price went up. That means that these faith based policies have failed us and until the middle class realizes that, we are in huge trouble. I mean huge trouble too. This economy you see now will only be the tip of the iceberg. If we keep this up any longer, I guarantee you a second great depression is in the works because eventually there will be more people losing their homes, more people who will be starving since they can't afford ford, more people freezing since they can't afford heating oil, and so on. That will mean that the so called greed of the companies will backfire and then we will head into a depression. The recession we are in now is only the start.

That is why the middle class has to wake up right now and fight this capitalism with capitalism. Let me give you an example of what I mean. Let's take the public utility companies as an example. I have already mentioned what happened when the public utility companies were deregulated. The price of these services skyrocketed from each company. While faith based policies has a lot of blame for that, the middle class does too because they tolerate that and keep giving them their business. Yes, that means I am suggesting that you make these public utility companies work for your business. Giving them your blind support is what is feeding this ugly beast.

How do we make them work for you? Shut them off. I know that sounds like a radical plan and that you might have to make some sacrifices for yourself, but this is the only way. You must tell them to shut you off. Even if you freeze a couple of months or have no electricity and power for a couple of months, I believe that in the long term that you will have their attention. You will have sent these greedy morons that you are serious about good services for the best price. You will tell them that it doesn't work the other way around when it comes to gouging us for the worst service, which has been what has happened the past few years ever since the deregulations took place.

For most people, they will never end up having that spine. They will continue giving these companies their blind support and letting them gouge them. If I had a house though, I'd keep the utilities shut off until they'd have a deal I can accept. I'd never turn on the electric, until Penn Power gave a break on their high rates. I'd never turn on the heat until Columbia Gas gave me a break on their high rates. Yes people, I would freeze to death and have nothing to eat before I give my money to those slobs in the public utility companies.

Again however, most people will not be the courageous person I am. Most will keep the furnace running, the electricity turned on, as well as the cable and other things. Most are complete fools since they think either these companies love their fluffy bunny rabbits, candy, and rainbows and would willingly give them price breaks; or that the government that will give the American people chocolate and rainbows without actually changing anything. This is what the people think will happen, when it will never happen.

That is exactly why I wouldn't give a dime to these people, even if it means that I freeze and have no electricity. People think that is a radical decision since we need this stuff. We need this stuff to live. God forbid that we actually punish the greedy bastards for being dirty bastards. After all, they believe in rainbows and bunnies and will give us a price break, only if we give these people our business. If only we will give them our business, we will get a free box of chocolates. Doing otherwise will be bad because then we can't live.

Those people are morons. Let me tell you that you can live without these things. Here's how you do so. First of all, eat out. You don't need to cook your own food. You can eat out at a restaurant and have a drink with that. You don't need a fridge to do that. Secondly, you can use candles as light. Thirdly, you can use blankets and extra clothing as heat.

You don't need a bunch of utility companies to tell you what you have to pay. After all, many people back in the old day were able to live without any of that stuff. Go back to the 1700s when England and other countries settled here. They went without this stuff and yet all of them survived. So I say, if the utility companies are becoming too expensive, which they are, tell them to take their rates and shove them up their fat greedy asses. I mean every word. Tell them that. Tell them you can't live with their rates. Tell them to shut you off. Doing otherwise and giving them your business will mean you will sink even lower and fall into deeper financial trouble.

Besides, think of it this way. You will eventually not be able to afford the price of electricity and heating anyway. As the rates go up and wages stay the same, you will be a sure threat to have the stuff turned off anyway. As the prices become more out of control and harder to afford, you will not be able to pay the bill. So what will you do most likely? You will probably not pay the bill. So what happens when you don't pay the bill? They shut you off.

Yes, that means that you would be shut off anyway. Only if you keep the stuff on as long as possible and then get shut off because you can't afford the rates, you will be messed up credit wise and will still owe the bills. Just because you can't afford them doesn't mean the companies love bunnies and are looking out for you. It doesn't mean it at all! Just because they shut you off, doesn't mean you get out of debt and automatically don't owe them any money. Sure, you won't have any additional bills, but the past bills will be there waiting for you to pay them, even though you can't afford them.

Therefore, if you do it that way, your credit goes bad and you owe the debt and remember, you just got turned off. That means the stuff you said you needed so badly like electricity and heat that you couldn't live without was still turned off, which means you are left in the same boat as you would have been if you would have just told the companies to kiss my ass and shut me off. Only, the debt and the bad credit would be there too, which means you actually would be in even worse shape. So not only would you be freezing and have no electricity anyway, you would also have the debts and bad credit. Basically, that means you are screwed by the capitalistic system.

That is why I just would tell them to go to hell. That way, they won't be able to buy you and you would wind up in a better situation where you won't have the debt to pay off or anything like that when you shut the power off. In order to make capitalism work, you have to participate. Giving power to these despicable companies and letting them control America is what is going to make America lose.

Corporate America is not your friend. They really do not even like America, which explains why their greed ships jobs overseas. I say when it comes to the system we have now, fight capitalism with capitalism. Make the companies fight for your business. It works with every group no matter if it is the insurance companies, drug companies, utility companies, and the oil companies. If we all decide we just won't give them money, they either will change or they will go bankrupt. It will be their choice then.

But we also have a say. After all, it is a capitalist system. That means we do have a choice to tell companies to go to hell. If we don't do it, then we are stupid and we deserve the prices of everything to rise and companies to gouge us for every penny we have. I for one will not be giving these people any of my money and it is time for all of you to do the same. So I say power to the people and fight that greedy capitalism with middle class capitalism. Bleed the greed.
