Fight Club Quotes Poem

Brandon Elliott
This is a poem that I constructed using only quotes from the popular book and movie, Fight Club.

You are not a beautiful
and unique snowflake.
When you have insomnia,
you're never really asleep,
and you're never really awake.
You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else.
We are all part of the same compost pile--
Maybe we just have to break everything to
make something better out of ourselves.

I just don't want to die without a few scars.
Besides, this is your life--
it's ending one minute at a time.
and the survival rate for everyone will drop to zero,
on a large enough time line.

May I never be content.
May I never be complete.
I wasn't the only slave to my nesting instinct.
This was freedom.
Losing all hope was freedom.

If I could wake up in a different place, at a different time, could I wake up as a different person?

I'm very impressed by the way you took specific quotes and turned them into a unique poem with its own perspective.
