For individuals who feel run down and tired, fatigue can be a serious problem and it affects many people in their everyday life. The older people get, the more fatigue becomes a problem, however, fatigue can be a complaint of kids and teenagers too. By properly fighting fatigue, you may also be slowing the aging process down!

According to WebMD, it's important that individuals struggling with constantly being tired have themselves checked out with their family doctor in order to rule out other health issues that may be the cause of the fatigue. Common problems that cause fatigue include diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, anemia and sleep apnea. Some medications may also cause fatigue.

The first step in regaining control over your life is to stay active. This can be difficult, but in this case, rest truly is not the best medicine! When someone feels tired, they often feel like sleeping all the time or lounging around the house. The truth is, the more you move, the better off you'll be and the less tired you may start to feel! Exercise can help strengthen your body, which will in turn help you feel less fatigued. It also releases healthy endorphins in the body that make us feel good!

Don't forget to stretch before you exercise! This can be simple stretching or yoga; either way, stretching is extremely important for staying active and to ensure that we don't hurt ourselves during our workout. If you're worried about what exercise to start with, try walking! Walking and swimming are extremely beneficial to your health and most people can do this. If walking is hard on land, try water walking. This feels easier on the body, but may actually be healthier for you overall. Statistics show that people burn more calories walking through the water than they do on land, even though it is less stressful on the body.

Finally, drink a lot of water. Apple cider vinegar water is best, because it balances out the body's pH, but many individuals can't stomach the taste of it. Apple cider vinegar is extremely good for fighting infection and warding off illness. To make, add one to two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into 8 to 16 ounces of water and drink three to four times a day. For a refreshing treat, make it ice water! The colder the water is, the more calories you burn drinking it!
