Drinking juice is a powerful way to boost the antioxidants in your body. However, you make sure that you are purchasing 100% fruit juice and not a cocktail, because a cocktail will include a large amount of corn syrup. It is also a good idea to purchase your juice in a glass bottle if you're concerned about contamination.

The next way to combat allergies with your food is to increase the amount of fiber in your diet. This will alleviate allergies that are related to the gastrointestinal tract. It is very beneficial to add foods such as whole grains, nuts and seeds for this condition.

Another great thing that you can do to combat your allergies is to create a good balance between the good and bad bacteria in your body by consuming yogurt. Yogurt contains active cultures that will help with gastrointestinal concerns as well. The cultures in the yogurt also very beneficial to help the body fight off skin allergies. However, if you cannot tolerate dairy products, yogurt may not be the best option for you.

The benefits of zinc

Recent studies have shown that people with asthma are usually zinc deficient. This condition can be remedied by eating foods that contain zinc, plain yogurt, tofu, crabs, ham, ground beef and the dark meat from either chicken or turkey to add extra zinc into your diet.
