Fighting Cancer the Natural Way

Sarah Rachel
Prevention is the best medicine when it comes to any type of cancer, yet sometimes the cancer takes hold of a person early on in life or before a person has implemented necessary lifestyle changes to reduce their cancer risk. However, even healthy people get cancer for various reasons. Age, hereditary and where you live play a big role in whether or not you will develop cancer. Breast cancer has rapidly become an epidemic in America and there are many reasons why this might be the case. There are more women on birth control and other medications and some of these medications are leaking into the water supply, giving women extra doses of hormones at an early age. Eating a poor diet of sugar laden processed foods and diet sodas can also cause the body to become more acidic. A body that is more alkaline is less likely to develop cancer because cancer has a harder time growing and thriving in a more alkaline environment.

The First Step

Always seek your doctor's advice before trying anything new. There is no guarantee that you will be cured of cancer. Every person is different and some people respond better to western medical treatments while others seem to do quite well with alternative medicine. If you are going to opt for natural methods to treat cancer, be sure to consult with a Naturopathic doctor to ensure that you are getting the results you need. An ND can test your blood, and help tailor a plan that is just for you.

Be Positive

Cancer patients who have a positive outlook on their lives, and treatment tend to have a much higher survivability rate according to Dr. James Chappell. Surround yourself with supportive positive people. Get 20 minutes or more of sunshine and fresh air each day. Every time you have a negative thought come into your mind, push it out and replace that thought with a positive one. Smile, watch funny movies and do whatever you can to keep a positive attitude.

Change your Diet

This may seem like such a simple thing, but it will help you to live longer. You need to focus on eating foods that help your body to become more alkaline. If you drink or smoke, stop now. Stop eating foods that will help the cancer to spread such as junk food, processed foods and other acidic foods. Cancer also thrives on sugar, so dramatically reduce your sugar intake. Instead load up on fruits and vegetables daily. Be sure to check your PH levels daily with a PH test kit that can be purchased on line or at your local health food store. It may take a few weeks of healthy eating before you start to notice a healthy PH reading.

Supplementation

You need to take high doses of therapeutic supplements in addition to eating a healthy diet. Your body is in for the fight of your life and you need all the weapons you can get to turn this around. Take a whole food multi-vitamin and mineral supplement in addition to extra B-vitamins. You also need to take some type of green powder blend that contains sea vegetables and other greens. Take a probitoic supplement that contains as many different strains of good bacteria as possible. Someone battling cancer will need 15 billion or more per day, so look on the bottle and be sure to choose the highest dose available. Another supplement that people have seen remarkable results with is DCA. Cell food is a high potency supplement that helps to feed your cells and alkalinize your body. Your Alternative Health care provider may also advise you to take additional supplements and herbs.

Regulate your Digestion

A healthy person should be having 3 bowel movements per day. If you are not regular you should be taking steps in order to become more regular. Drink plenty of pure water each day. Most people need to drink half their body weight in ounces of water on a daily basis. Your body cries for water and you need it in order to flush out toxins and become more alkaline.
