Fighting with a YouTube Addiction

Surfing the internet and browsing various sites is fast becoming an international pleasure. Many households have several desktop computers and laptops in their possession. Being without access to the internet on a regular basis can sometimes send you into fits of withdrawal. I find myself daily accessing the internet for both business and pleasure. No matter what time of the day or night, I love having access to an entire world of knowledge at my fingertips. Lately, YouTube has become my most recent obsession.

With all of the tons of videos posted online, YouTube can be considered to be the number one internet site to do this. Anyone can express themselves in multiple ways at great ease. I have witnessed many videos that were just downright idiotic and others that have been added to my cherished video collection. Expressing your individuality is the best thing about YouTube because it is so easy to do. You don't have to be a video professional to create a riveting and entertaining online video.

When the presidential debates were televised, I was extremely glad that YouTube was incorporated into it. This was a very interesting concept that allowed viewers to be sort of interactive with the upcoming presidential election. Private citizens finally got the chance to ask some meaningful questions that required truthful answers. Despite the fact that the candidates did not live up to their end of the bargain and answer truthfully, I still enjoyed it.

Recently, I noticed that YouTube-like videos can now be viewed on television shows. Every one is trying to get into the YouTube craze. With all of its popularity these days, television shows are getting high ratings with this type of programming. Although there are many other online video hosting internet sites, YouTube is still my favorite to cruise through. The others cannot compare to its unique form of entertainment.

I know that I have a YouTube addiction because I often find myself enjoying videos on a Friday night. Sometimes instead of going out to eat or enjoying a movie at a theatre, I would rather just sit at home and view YouTube videos. Many of you may think that this can best be compared to watching a train wreck that you just can't look away from, but it is one of my guilty little pleasures that I often indulge in. Fighting a YouTube addiction can be one of the hardest things to do. Late at night when I am extremely bored, I can hear my computer calling out to me to feed the YouTube craving.

I also have Youtube addiction, or youbiction as I like to call it. I've been clean now for 3 days. Haven't watched a single video. My productivity is through the roof, I'll let myself go back to it at some stage but only when I can control myself.
