Filled and Drained
The world is full of air;
This room is too.
I eat the molecules
And I am full.
This room is too.

This head is packed with thoughts;
Endless, streaming thoughts;
The same few
Are always churning.
And this heart sinks down in grief
After it's stunned by hope and joy and peace---
Filled and drained.
Always filled then drained.
