Filling Christmas Stockings on a Tight Budget

When you're broke and you have kids and grandkids like I do, the approaching holidays can become pretty depressing. My oldest is 37 and every year all my kids and grandkids get stockings every year. This year may be a little different, but they will get their stockings.

I have found that by putting in a little time and effort, that you can get so many things for free . There are dozens of legitimate freebie sites on line, like freebies4mom.com that will send you products, or refer you sites that are 100% free. No credit card and no postage needed. you can go directly to the companies also like General Mills and Proctor & Gamble, they have free offers, and even retailers like walmart, costco, kroger and walgreens, will send you samples of featured products also . You can find a multitude of things ranging from fruit roll ups and and coloring books for the young ones, posters, cd's, makeup, and T shirts for the teens, and books, perfumes & colognes, and even condoms for the adults.

Game sites like Reward TV.com , gives you points and sweepstake entrys, for watching TV and doing a survey of what you watch. You can cash in your points for gift cards for gas, restaurants, movie tickets and retail stores. You can also make money doing surveys for sites like sendearnings.com and paidinboxdollars.com.

Last but not least, don't forget the dollar stores. They have such great things stuffing stockings and everything including the stockings are just a $1.00.

I hope these tips help to relieve some of the tension that Holiday gift giving can bring, and puts those smiles an your childrens faces.
