Film Strip Party Invitation Instructions: Cut the black construction paper in half lengthwise using scissors. This will be the base of your Hollywood film strip invitations. Cut some of the white paper into 4x5 squares, making them smaller or larger to fit your preference. These large white squares will become the movie scene frames on your film strip party invitations. Cut the remaining piece of white paper into small 1x1 or 2x2 inch squares.
Lay the larger squares 1-2 inches apart along your black strips of construction paper until there is no more room. Keep these squares centered and secure them temporarily with scotch tape. Write all party information on the squares using your pencil. Spread the information out over all frames on these Hollywood film strip invitations. The first movie scene frame can include a theme or main greeting while the middle frames list your date, location, time, dress code and any other party information.
The last movie scene frame on these film strip party invitations can include RSVP information for guests. Trace the pencil with your markers when all of the information has been added to your liking. Remove the scotch tape and glue your white square movie scene frames onto the black construction paper. Glue your smaller squares on the left and right sides of your film strip, keeping them about ½ to 1 inch apart. Use a ruler if necessary to make sure that both sides match and are placed in identical areas of your film strip party invitations.
Two small movie or TV stills can also replace every other frame when making invitations for themed parties. The entertainment stills can be found online and printed out as images but are an optional aspect of making Hollywood film strip invitations. You can also print all party information on the white sheets of paper in advance for a neater appearance. This will require proper spacing using word processing or desktop publishing software on a computer. Wind your film strip party invitations into a circle and place them in a small tin canister for each guest.
