Filomena Tobias Accused of Seth Tobias' Death in Civil Suit

dgperez719
Early in September this year, Wall Street big shot and CNBC commentator Seth Tobias was found dead in the swimming pool of his Florida mansion. He was found by his wife, Filomena Tobias, floating facedown on the pool. Seth Tobias was a well-celebrated moneyman who ran the Circle T Partners hedge fund and managed $250 million in assets and at the time of his death, the police said that there were no obvious signs of foul play but that they were looking into all possible angles.

A month later, William Ash who claimed to have worked as personal assistant for five years to Seth Tobias and his wife, Filomena Tobias accused the latter of being responsible for the former's death. He said that she admitted (over a telephone conversation) to killing her husband because of money. Ash even alleged that Mr. Tobias was gay and that Filomena tried to kill him several times prior.

Filomena, in a report by www.1440wallstreet.com, responded to the accusations that she murdered her husband. She said she didn't do anything to hurt her him and that she had nothing to be ashamed of. She even continued to say that Ash "is a very sick man who should be institutionalized."

Unexpected and untimely deaths are highly publicized especially when they involve public figures or members of the upper class - the high society, the rich, and the famous. Seth Tobias is no different because he had the profile, the money, and the mysterious death. Here are other high profile cases that involved some rich people.

Take Pati Margello's case. She was lover to Dean MacGuigan whose mother Delaware's millionare du Pont heiress didn't approved of their relationship because Pati came from a middle class background. In order to 'protect' Dean's trust fund, the mother ordered her husband, Christopher Moseley to murder Pati.

Socialite's Lita McClinton's case is another one of those high profile cases. She was married to multi-millionaire heir Jame Sullivan. McClinton divorced Sullivan because of his numerous affairs. In anger, Sullivan hired someone to murder her in 1987. He was later on sentenced to life in prison without parole. However, Sullivan ran for 15 years and was finally captured in Thailand in 2002.

In June 6, 1995, Richard Bailey was found guilty of conspiring to kill Helen Brach, widow of millionaire Frank Brach and heiress to a candy fortune. Helen Brach has disappeared two decades earlier and was never found while Bailey was a Chicago horse broker who made fortunes from swindling and seducing older and wealthy women.

Money - the abundance or the lack thereof can cause someone's personality to completely change. What truly transpires among these rich people's homes can never be completely fathomed by outsiders but history has proven, over time, that money can destroy people's lives and relationships.
