Filters Unlimited: Organize Your Photoshop and PaintShop Pro Filters

Dee Jones
Filters are wonderful things. With these little plug-ins, you can quickly and easily add all sorts of cool effects to your images.

The problem with filters, if you can call it a problem, is that there are just so many of them. Online, you can find hundreds of free filters, and plenty of great commercial ones. They are so easy to download and add to your graphics program. And, just when you've told yourself you don't need anymore, you stumble across a dozen more that you just have to have.

The next thing you know, you have so many filters, it's hard to keep them all straight, let alone remember which filter does what. In fact, it's not at all unusual for some graphics enthusiasts to have hundreds of filters in their plug-in folders.

If you have a lot of filters, and are looking for a way to organize them, Filters Unlimited might be your solution.

What Is Filters Unlimited?

Filters Unlimited is a commercial program that adds 350 filter effects to your graphics folder. Filters Unlimited works with Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, and some other graphics programs.

Filters Unlimited comes with hundreds of filters already included and neatly organized into different categories. So, if you've never really tried filters before, Filters Unlimited is a great place to start.

However, the real magic of Filters Unlimited is that you can import other filters into its database, and use Filters Unlimited to organize them. I recommend creating a brand new database for your imported filters, to keep new filters, and those that came with Filters Unlimited, separate.

Another cool feature of Filters Unlimited is that it has a preview window. Just highlight the name of any filter in the program, and you'll see the kind of effect Filters Unlimited will apply to your photos and images.

Does Filters Unlimited Have Any Limitations?

Despite the name, Filters Unlimited does have its limits. Unfortunately, not all filters can be imported into Filters Unlimited. However, thousands can. And even being able to add only a portion of your filter collection to Filters Unlimited can make a huge difference.

How Much Does Filters Unlimited Cost?

Filters Unlimited isn't a free program, unfortunately. But, if you have a really big filter collection that seems to be taking over your graphics program, you might find the price of $39.95to be more than worth it.

Also, you can download a free trial version of Filters Unlimited. It comes with fewer filters, and there are some limitations on how you can use it. But the trial version is a great way to give Filters Unlimited a test drive.

There are so many great, free filters out there. And Filters Unlimited lets you take full advantage of them.
