Final Harry Potter Book Smashes More Pre-Order Records

The seventh and final Harry Potter book, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' has smashed more pre-order records, reports Reuters.

The final book in the Harry Potter series is set for release at midnight on July 21st. In only a couple of weeks the most anticipated book will be available for millions of fans anxious to know Harry Potter's fate and other answers about the wizard world.

Amazon had announced that 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' has become its most ever pre-ordered book. So far the worldwide pre-order total is 1.6 million and that is just through Amazon. The actually pre-order total will be much higher with other big US chains such as Borders and Barnes & Noble taking pre-orders for the final Harry Potter book.

The sixth Harry Potter book, 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' which brings up some very interesting questions about who Snape is loyal to, set the previous record for the most pre-ordered book at Amazon. 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' sold 1.5 million copies before its release date.

With 19 more days until 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' hits stores, Amazon expects the pre-orders to increase "by many more hundreds of thousands of copies," according to Reuters. If you want to pre-order the book from Amazon in the US and be guaranteed delivery on July 21 the last day to pre-order is July 17. If you order you book in time and it does not arrive on July 21 Amazon are offering your money back.

Harry Potter fans around the world will want to get their hands on the book as fast as possible to find the answers to the many discussions going on in the Potterverse. The biggest questions are is Snape good or evil? Who will die in the final book? J.K Rowling has already told fans that two characters die in the book. One character that she was going to previously let live dies while another character set to die go a reprieve.

Security leading up to the release of the final book is being taken very seriously as to avoid ruining that special 'magical' moment of opening the book without any spoilers.

Leading up to the release of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' and number of events are taking place. In the US the Harry Potter Night Bus tour is visiting libraries around the country. Fan will get the chance to board the bus and make a special vieod of them discussing their theories about the books.

In New York City on the night of the release Scholastic will be hosting a release party, which will be one of the dozens of release parties being held around the US.

The crew from the extremely popular PotterCast are doing a US tour to celebrate the final books release. They are currently visiting cities throughout the US talking to fans about theories for the final book.

In London 1000 lucky fans will be attending a midnight reading and signing. Here they will hear J.K Rowling read from the final book and have the chance to meet the author face to face while getting their book signed.
