When Symone graduated high school last fall, she moved to Washington, DC to attend college. One cold and windy day in December, she was walking to class, Symone kept feeling this wet stuff hitting her in the face; it was very annoying because she didn't know what it was or where it was coming from.
Symone wiped her face as she looked up and saw all these white flakes falling from the sky. Her first thought was what the heck! Suddenly, Symone realized what was happening; SNOW! SNOW! She yelled in a very happy and excited voice; she totally forgot that there were other people around. Heads turned to stare at her. One student said "Oh, you're that kid from California, right?"

Post a CommentMary, hrd to believe but it happens. My son's first girlfriend was from California and her first snow was when she came and visited us in Montana. (^;^)
=)
Snow gives an extra fascination on everything. Nice article.
What an adorable story! It's not really the eyes of a child, but it's like the innocence of a child. Truly heartwarming for the holidays. Thanks for sharing!
I love snow as long as I don't have to drive in it!
This reminded me of a guy I dated who never saw snow until he was nineteen and moved to Jersey, he didn't know now slippery it was until he went down on his rear end on the sidewalk! I love snow....as long as I don't have to drive the kids anywhere! :)
thanks for sharing, and we are getting snow right now!
YEAH.... Two weeks ago I was on the vet run... wehave a low cost s/n located about 45 -60 min away from us... got there while it was still dark in the am ( had to still go to work)... after check in I went out side and saw snow all over the ground!!!! of course it melted within hours... and it really was only a dusting... but still... it was snow
I also rejoice when I see snow (since I live In NW Florida) and it is a rare sight indeed. But in Georgia, where I grew up, it did snow once in awhile. 9Just glad that I don't have to shovel it! Merry Christmas Mary!
I imagine that seeing snow for the first time can be exciting. I would probably feel like that if and when I ever get to see the ocean as I walk along a beach somewhere. Snow is especially great around Christmastime...It seems almost magical. I can't imagine NOT seeing snow in the winter!
