The Michigan Humane Society, the Detroit Zoo, and more than 20 other additional groups will sponsor this adoption with hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits. There are many animal shelters from Battle Creek Animal Shelter, the Roscommon Animal Shelter, Sanilac County Humane Society, to many different rescue groups.
On May 3rd and May 4th, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. there is no charge for admission or parking for adoption event guests, but there is a charge for admission and parking for those that want to visit the zoo.

The zoo is located at 8450 W. 10 Mile Road, in Royal Oak, and the zip code is 48067. You can call 1-866-MHUMANE for more information, or visit www.MICHIGANHUMANE.ORG/ZOO to print out the adoption forms to save time. There are three types of forms: dogs, cats, and domestics, which include hamsters, and rabbits.
Adoption Fees and Policies
There is no set fees for adoption and the policies are varied depending on different participating groups. Also, it is advised to leave your current pets at home for health and safety reasons.
