Find and Buy Cheap Patio Furniture

While you definitely want to buy durable patio furniture, you have to consider that it will be outside and vulnerable to the weather and other outdoor elements. So it doesn't make much sense to spend thousands on a set of furniture that will depreciate in value so quickly. As an alternative, you may choose to simply buy cheap patio furniture and rotate it frequently (every three years or so).

Freecycle

If you want to get your patio furniture for very cheap, go to Freecycle.org. Here you can find listings of items that people in your city are trying to get rid of, including outdoor and patio furniture. The items will likely be heavily used, but this is a very inexpensive way to get your patio furniture. Your only cost will likely be gas to pick up the furniture, and a small truck if the furniture cannot fit in your own car.

Craigslist

There is a section of Craigslist.org that is specifically dedicated to people who want to sell furniture for cheap. Find your city and then go to one of three sections: "Furniture," "Farm and Garden," or "Free." There is a search box at the top of the page-type in "patio." Any listings related to patio items will be displayed. Check this site frequently as new listings come in pretty frequently.

Amazon

Though the shipping costs can sometimes be expensive, you can find fairly cheap patio furniture on Amazon.com. Search for "patio furniture" and then click on the category that is specifically dedicated to this type of furniture. Then scroll down and look for the "Price" search option toward the left of the screen. Select your price range to narrow the prices down based on what you can afford at the moment.

eBay

eBay is one of the best online sites for finding great deals on your patio furniture. You may also be able to avoid shipping costs altogether if you can find a local eBay store to pick up the furniture from.

Type in "patio furniture" in the eBay search box, then scroll down to "Preferences" on the left hand side of the results. Under "Location" select "Choose More." You will then be able to type in your zip code. Search within at least a 75 mile radius to get the most comprehensive results for your area.

Once you have your new results, you can then sort them by "Price" (click the tab at the top of the results) to see the cheapest patio furniture that is available in your area.

Big Lots is a home discount store that is located in states across the country. This store specializes in inexpensive furniture, including patio furniture sets. You can also buy other outdoor accents for your porch, deck, or backyard, like grills and décor.
