Those living in New York City and the tri-state area who are tired of the onslaught of snow can escape from the winter blahs at the 2010 New York Times Travel Show. Here one can find their next vacation spot by perusing the offerings of nearly 500 exhibitors, who are representing tourism markets in Africa, Asia, Australia/South Pacific, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Mexico, South America and the United States. In today's tight economy, budget conscious travelers can pursue travel deals that will be available only at the show.

Featured show highlights include:

• International Dance and Live Music performances

• International Food and Wine Tastings

• "Wild Things: Live!" Animal educators from SeaWorld Orlando will introduce exotic animals including penguins, an American alligator, a lemur, a kookaburra, a Burmese python, a bearded dragon and a baby kangaroo

The exhibition hall will be open to the public on Saturday, February 27th from 10am-6p and Sunday, February 28th from 10am-4pm. Adults wishing to continue sampling some international delights can check out the New York Wine Expo, which is also held at the Javits Center and open to the public on February 26th and 27th. Every attendee will receive a souvenir glass at the Grand Tasting, which will feature more than 600 wines from around with globe with a focus on Italian, German, Australian, and South American favorites, as well as local New York, Oregon and California wines. In addition to wine tastings, attendees can enjoy complimentary food samples and check out the latest wine accessories. Wine seminars will be offered for an additional fee.
