The Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 2270 North Clybourn Avenue in the DePaul neighborhood offers household items such as dishes, glasses, and assorted knickknacks. Of course, this thrift shop sits between Bosworth and Greenview Avenue has tons and tons of clothes, shoes and coats.

Actually, if you're in the market for some designer clothes or vintage clothing, you should check it out. On Saturday mornings, the place is unbelievably busy, but the last time I went there on Saturday morning I snagged myself a cute winter jacket, two very nice salad bowls, napkin holders, and a small picture of a scenic lake for around 8 dollars.

I do have to say, though, that I found my shopping experience to be a bit on the unorganized side. Not because the store itself was unorganized, but because there were so many racks of clothing to go through. Some stuff was on the floor too, but for the most part, its a great find. If you're also interested in buying a bed or bed frame, the Salvation Army Thrift store can also accommodate you. Outside, you will find a bunch of beds, all different sizes, but I have to say that the most surprising finds were the incredible selection of designer clothes. You should know, however, that all sales are final and there is no exchange policy in place.
