The outage gave shoppers several transaction errors, which became very frustrating for the shopper and especially for the companies who had to do at least a month's preparation for the Cyber Monday event.

Anything can happen on a Cyber Monday. Not all e-commerce customers were able to take advantage of the different deals because they either fell victim to the internet traffic problems or they just didn't quite have the time. There is, after all, Tuesday and Wednesday (others extend throughout the week).
