The first one is Fancher's Campground located on gorgeous Douglas Lake in Dandridge Tennessee. This campground offers everything from L.P. gas to groceries to a swimming pool to even a laundry mat. For activities you can swim, fish, boat, jet ski, water ski, or simply go for a bike ride. They even offer special events during holidays and other times of the year. They have seasonal camping sites but are open year round since the also rent cabins. Their rates are from $1200.00 to $1500.00. For more information go to www.fancherscampground.com.
Another campground is through Lake Cove Realty and is called Lake Cove Resort. Located within minutes of Historic Dandridge Tennessee, this campground is for swimming, fishing, and plain old relaxing. It is only a few miles from hiking trails and white water rafting. They have a weight room, putt-putt course, swimming pool, and a sand volley ball court. This campground even has what they call log tents. These are cute little country "shacks" set in the woods. They do have a bed however. These sites are anywhere from $2400.00 per year to $3600.00 if you want to have a spot on the lake. If you desire more information visit them at www.lakecove.com, e mail them at reservations@lakecoverealty.com, or call them at 865-397-4080.
Now there is also a couple of campgrounds in Hamblen and Grainger Counties in Tennessee that have some very good sites.
The first one is Cherokee Park. This site offers 61 campsites, a boat dock, showers, a dump station, picnic tables, and even a playground to keep the children occupied. This park is located on Cherokee Lake and can be reached by calling 423-586-5232 for year round information.
If none of these three campgrounds sound like the places for you, then you may want to try one of the following.
Panther Creek State Park offers 51 camp sites, a laundry room, grills, a playground, 30 AMP, and many more nice extras. They can be reached year round for information at 423-587-7046.
Cardinal Cove Resort is another one that deserves some attention. This site has everything from firewood to gas to a game room. However, they are only open from March to November each year. You can contact them at 423-828-5300.
All of these campgrounds offer water and electrical hook ups. Most have dump sites, showers, flush toilets et cetera. Some may offer boat docks as well as boat rentals.
So, when you are ready for that camping trip. Check out East Tennessee. We have some wonderful camping sites to offer. Give one of them a call and then come and have some fun.
