Dreams can often feel short, awkward and confusing but be filled with symbols and out of place objects. In contrast, you may have an epic dream that seems to span for hours, days, or years and you awake with only the specific memory of the color orange.
Dream interpretation is not an exact science, but, often times you will find that a suggested meaning of a specific symbol in your dream may tell you a wealth of information that your subconscious isn't. Let's go through some of the 'dream colors'.
Dream Colors
A certain color in your dream can reflect various things. Let's hit on some of the basic colors that could come up in your dream.
Seeing the color red in your dreams or red tones and hues in your dream could indicate energy of some sort. Sexual energy, aggressive energy, spiritual energy, passion, power, or courage could be the cause for all the red.
Blue colors in dreams, such as blue vases, blue lights, blue ribbons, etc could mean two very different things. Variables of your dream can effect what the blue may represent. For example, if your dream is somewhat dreary, the blue would make sense as it probably reflects feelings of sadness, hence, feeling blue. On the other hand, blue has also been linked to heaven, wisdom, truth, loyalty and future optimism. It is also said that having a lot of blue colors in your dream could indicate you have clarity of mind. Maybe you recently got something off your chest.
Orange colors in dreams can mean you are being very outgoing and rather sociable. Maybe this is something new for you and your dreams are reflecting your new social skills. To see an orange tree in your dream that may be out of context possibly denotes health and prosperity.
The shade of green in your dream will determine what this color could possibly mean. On one hand, a dark green symbolism could show you're waking moments are full of deceitful overtones, such as cheating, greed, etc. However, if the color is a light green or basic green, you may be experiencing a good change in your life such as a promotion etc. Green also indicates serenity, money, and jealousy accordingly.
Yellow colors in your dream can mean several things depending on what you are dreaming about. If you are having a somewhat pleasant dream, then yellow could signify agility, harmony or happiness. If you are having an awkward or scary dream, yellow could symbolize your fears, etc.
The above colors are only a small fraction of the colors you can see in your dreams. Dreams could hold some colors that have never been viewed by the eye when awake. Always keep a pen and paper close to your bed so you can write down any symbols before you forget them. When you wake up from a bizarre dream, write down everything you can remember. The more symbols you can catch, the easier it will be to try to interpret the meanings.
