Find Someone to Share

My priest told me this story a few months ago. There was a couple who sold all their wealth then took a journey to Bali. It may sound to be a romantic journey, but they did not plan the journey only for a holiday. Surprisingly, they had a plan to commit suicide together after they spent all their money in Bali. It was very tragic plan.

They took a bus and when the bus stopped at a city and they decided to have some rest. In this place, there was a famous garden for praying named Getzemani. They went there, but nobody was in the garden at that time. After a while they were found by a gardener when they almost continued their trip to Bali. After greeting each other, the gardener found a priest in charge to talk to them. This couple finally decided to cancel their plan for suicide after sharing their stories with the priest.

This is a true story and it shows to us how important to have someone to talk and share, especially in difficult times. I believe there are many people who are lonely, stressed out and they may have a plan to end up their life because they have no friends to share about their life problems.

In our church we have a community called "family community" and we have a regular weekly meeting in one of member's house. We share about our problems at work, children, family and so on. We may not have a result at once but from sharing with other people, we gain many blessing and most of us feel that our problem become small as compared to others. We also share about business and help each other for business opportunity. At the end of meeting, we pray for each other and that is what God teach us to do. God will hear our pray especially when there are two or more people pray together for a single purpose. Most people after sharing feel that some of their burdens have gone from their shoulder and they have spirit to face the daily life. They also get blessing and advice from other people who have experienced the same situation.

Whatever your faith is, you need someone to share. You can have it in your church, office, community or your neighborhood. On the other hand, we also have to open our heart to hear sharing from other people. Never make other people problems as gossip. I believe the world would be a better place if each of us hand in hand face the difficult times together.
