Find the Time to Ace College While Not Neglecting Your Friends

Todd Hicks
You are in a quandary. On one hand, you feel pressure to maintain a high grade point average as a university student; but, on the other hand, you do not want to get so caught up in your studies that you never have time to hang out with your buddies. There are a lot of things you can do to rectify this situation. You will learn how to get good college grades and still have time for friends.

You can choose classmates to go over your material with. Having a study partner is a good way to keep your grades up while having the time to form a sturdy relationship.

It is a good idea to immediately go out to lunch with someone who shares one of your courses with you after you have taken all of your classes for the day. In fact, the two of you can go over some of the material you just learned.

You can help yourself by not spending too much time reading your notes. I used to spend at least fifteen to thirty minutes per course reading my notes each day until my senior year. By then I learned that I only needed to do this the last few days before taking a test.

You should designate time for both your studies and your relationships. You could devote one to two hours a day to reading the textbooks for all of your courses while devoting the rest of the day to talking or hanging out with your chums.

It is critical to take one day a week off from studying. This is one of the easiest things you can do to stay mentally fresh and preserve your sanity while talking to or being with others.

It is smart to make a ritual out of doing something with those who mean a lot to you. Before the beginning of each week, you should make plans to set aside time to call or hang out with one of your pals.

You can talk to someone on the phone while you wash the dishes or do other chores. This is a brilliant way to not interfere with the time you spend "hitting the books".

How about picking courses you know your friends will take before a semester starts? This will easily enable you to see and talk with them frequently.

It is critical to start doing term papers soon after they are assigned. By completing them days or even a few weeks before they are due, you will have much more time for your buddies.

Follow these steps to get good college grades and still have time for friends!
