Finding Bargains on Perfumes and Colognes

Fragrance Shopping Deals

If you're trying to avoid pulling lint out of your pants pockets and wallets trying to find the perfect fragrance for Father's Day, make sure to bargain shop.

Expensive department stores like Macy's, JC Penney and Carson Pirie Scott aren't the only locations selling perfumes and colognes. Although Carson Pirie Scott locations regularly send their mailing list customers coupons for percentage or dollar amounts off, the downside is fragrances are always excluded from these bargains.

However, some of your favorite discount retail stores are selling those name brand perfumes and colognes you're looking for. A stroll through Niles, IL's Walmart fragrance department had big names like Sean John's Unforgiveable for Him, Usher for Men, Faith Hill Parfums, Tommy Hilfiger, Chrome by Azzaro and more.

Check for online deals with warehouse companies and fragrance outlets, too. It's possible that the prices online may be cheaper than they are in the stores, but when a consumer calculates the shipping and handling versus gas prices traveling to the location, one choice may be more economical than the other.

See what's going on at Avon stores. Keri Hilson, Zoe Saldana and Fergie perfumes are all available for reasonable prices at Avon stores. There's a local shop on the north side of Chicago at 7062 N. Clark that sells economical fragrances. Find an Avon representative in your area, and don't assume only men can sell Avon. R&B singer Kem used to be an Avon rep, too, and he talked about that on "The Mo'Nique Show."

Keep in mind that sometimes department stores give away free products to thank you for your service. For example, on Mother's Day, Carson Pirie Scott shoppers in Lincolnwood, IL could purchase any perfume and get a free purse and Mother's Day balloon for no additional charge. Look out for deals like this for Father's Day, too, to save yourself a trip to a greeting card store or the greeting card aisle of the retail store after getting that fragrance shopping deal.

If you're a Family Dollar shopper, keep in mind their cards are usually two for $1 or $1 each instead of those $3 to $5 cards gift givers usually buy. Gift bags, tissue paper and bows are also sold at these dollar discount stores.
