Christmas holidays arrive each year
Seemingly faster and faster,
Blink my eyes, exhale my breath
Before I know, the new year has begun.
Seemingly faster and faster,
Blink my eyes, exhale my breath
Before I know, the new year has begun.
Not a soul can slow the pace
Overdrive is the only speed,
Hectic schedules, shopping to do
Christmas Day is coming, how can I survive.
The barreling train must be halted
Pull the brake, I'm jumping!
Forget the to-do list, see what matters most
Time to prepare for the meaning of Christmas.
The Day of Christ is now upon us
Time is treasured, hearts wide open,
Absorbing all the offerings of this loving holiday
From family and friends to adoring the Spirit.
