There are some things that you will be able to do to keep you clothes looking like they are fitting you no matter how much weight you lose. If you have a sewing machine you can take the clothes in when they begin to hang on your body. This isn't that hard and will keep them in your wardrobe a few more weeks while you can get a few more weeks of wear out oft them.
If you are unable to sew, and cant afford to take them to a seamstress for alterations you can wear a belt with them. This will work with a shirt that hangs on your body just add a decorative belt that isn't too tight and will be able to just pull the fabric in enough to make it look more form fitting. This by far is the cheapest way to get more use out of your clothing.
You can purchase clothing from thrift stores and consignment shops saving money by not buying new outfits while you are losing weight. When doing this to save money you will want to purchase outfits that are interchangeable and will be able to mix and match more of the pieces together so that you can get more wear out of these pieces. Once you lose enough weight to get another size you can take back the clothing that you have and maybe get some money off the next trip to get clothing.
Shopping at online auctions or at craigslist you may be able to find clothing that is cheaper than even thrift stores. On Craigslist they may even be free. Garage sales and yard sales can be another source of finding inexpensive clothing to wear while you are losing weight.
The good news is that usually when dieting and losing weight is that you will be dropping a size every few weeks so if you only buy clothing once a month you will be able to wear them a few weeks before they start to hang on your body and you feel uncomfortable.
