Finding Coupons & Rebates on the Products You Buy at the Grocery Store

Save Hundreds on the Products You Buy Every Month with These Tips

Jenn C.
Have you noticed that grocery prices keep going up & up?? For my family, I knew I had to figure a way to save money, cut costs. I have never been one to clip coupons mostly because I could never find coupons on the products that I buy normally. Buying a Sunday paper every weekend just to get the coupon inserts to save a few dollars by using the few coupons I actually had use of, was well not worth it.

I then came up with an idea. The first thing that I realized was that I had no idea what I was paying for products in stores, do you?? I sat and down and made a list of all the major brands I buy in toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, etc . Went through my purse got out the receipts I hadn't thrown out yet and wrote down prices and store names.

When I went shopping again to a different store I would write down the prices, I was amazed with the differences in prices just in three different local stores in my area, some were .50 cents less, or $1.20 more, that is quite a difference, and this method can save you money every week if you just know what you are spending.

Watch your flyers every week for sales.

I then began my search for coupons. eBay was my first stop, since they seem to sell everything imaginable on there, and found thousands of listings for manufacturer coupons. You are actually not paying for the coupons, but for their clipping services. You can buy coupons in lots of 10, 12, 15 or 20 coupons. Alot of sellers charge you only .99 cents to ship your entire order no matter how many coupons you buy. I went down my list and found coupons for almost everything I buy, the most important thing here is to search by each brand name, and check the expiration dates.

You are more likely to use all the coupons if you have months to use them, instead of just a few weeks. Also watch the prices for these, some sellers give you more for the same price as say ten of them. PLUS the bonus, they are already cut for you, no clipping to do just need to remember to take them with you.

eBay also has rebates. The other day I bought a Kraft booklet with $55 in coupons on snacks that I buy all the time, and it had $40 in rebates in there, some of the coupons don't expire until May of 2010. What did it cost me total?? $1.50 to save $95.

If you have a store that doubles, or triples coupons, make sure you are using the coupons when it is most advantageous for you to get the most out of it. Sometimes you will even get the items for FREE. Free is good.

eBay sellers also offer FREE coupons, even though you will pay more for these
the savings are incredible. I won 10 free candles from Glade that are valued at $35.00, for $5, and planning on giving them as gifts this year for Christmas.

Remember that coupons are money, and money today is better in our pocket than someone elses, don't you think? Happy Saving!
