Finding Gog and Magog

Gog and Magog are two very big mysteries in the bible. Many students of theology have studied this issue with only inferences in the end. This topic is not 100% explainable and I will try my hardest to explain Gog and Magog through the Bible. If you do have a Bible please read Ezekiel 38.

As I said, my understanding of this topic is very limited so please bear with me if there's something you don't agree with.

The Bible has prophesized that in the end the devil will attack the world and deceive people from the four corners of earth, see Revelations 20:8, then the names Gog and Magog are mentioned.

Gog and Magog are names which are much coded, not much is known, but in the passage above it states that Gog is the land of Magog and Magog is the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

But where exactly are Magog and Gog. According to Josephus, a 1st century Roman historian, the 'Magogites' are Scythians. Scythians are an Iranian originated fierce people who settled north of the Baltic Sea. This is about the Central Asia/ Russia region.

Fighting alongside Gog and Magog will be, according to the above passage, Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer and Beth Togarmah.

Persia is the ex-name of Iran, the Bible most probably points to the current day Iran. Cush is the area south of Egypt, this is Sudan. Put or Phut is most likely Libya region.

Gomer and Beth Togarmah are slightly less general places. Gomer is referring Turkey or Germany. The Armenians of Turkey refer to themselves as the House of Togarmah.. The German reference is less likely to be true. The biblical tribes of Germany derived from Gomer and his sons.

Beth Togarmah is a reference to Central Asia and Armenia. Central Asia consists of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Meshech and Tubal are also mentioned above. Meshech and Tubal are lead by Gog. Meshech is a very debatable term and Is probably the most unknown term, scholars believe it could be Moscow or Turkey. Tubal is often said to be Tobolsk in Siberia which is said to be the "energy centre of Russia".

The many nations with you does not say much on its own but with other pieces from the bible it is most likely to be the neighboring countries of Israel like Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. There is already a large war that has been going on for countless years with Lebanon and Israel.
The point of this article is not so that you will discriminate these nations as not all the people in these nations will turn against the Lord. The Bible says the devil will deceive the people from these nations.
