There are many demands made on women and the lives they lead. Throughout their lives, they have burdens of hormones fluctuating, having babies, earning an income, parenting, and other numerous activities. We have a list of six great foods that contain the right benefits to assist women in their busy daily lives. To get the best out of these foods, include at least two to three servings weekly into your diet.

1. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Pomegranates
Many people find that pomegranates are a sweet-tart fruit and that the juice has been found by experts to help protect the heart. It does this by lowering blood pressure, increasing the blood flow to the heart and helping to prevent the hardening of the arteries. Pomegranates are also great as an anti-inflammatory and can help to ward off osteoarthritis a common ailment in women.

2. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Blueberries
Blueberries are a fruit that is very high in antioxidants, whether you eat them fresh or frozen. The antioxidants help the mind focus and increases brain functions. Blueberries contain polyphenols, which have been shown to guard against Alzheimer's disease. The anti-inflammatory blueberries also help protect against cancer and heart disease.

3. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Green Tea
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is an ingredient found in green tea. This ingredient has been found to help reduce the chances of breast cancer. Green tea also has the properties to help with skin cancer, increase alertness, and helps with weight loss through increased metabolism.

4. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Flaxseeds
Flaxseed is full of lignans that is a compound that helps regulate estrogen levels in women. Flaxseed is also a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids and proteins to give a woman more energy and fiber to help with constipation.

5. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Leafy Greens
Some great leafy greens women need in their diet include kale, chard, and spinach. These leafy greens provide women with plenty of calcium to build bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Pregnant women will appreciate the folic acid many leafy greens provide.

6. A Healthy Women's Diet Includes Sardines
Sardines are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids that many experts have said can help prevent menopause symptoms in women. Omega-3 can assist in depression and mood changes that women sometimes experience with menopause. Sardines are a heart healthy food that helps to reduce cholesterol and lower blood pressure as well.
