The best source of organic groceries is Amazing Grains Co-Op in downtown Grand Forks. They get fresh produce every Wednesday, and most of it is organic. The romaine lettuce heads and rainbow chard are particularly bright and beautiful. Amazing Grains is one of the few places to get organic meat in the area. Amazing Grains has an incredible selection of organic foods considering its size and location. Amazing Grains Co-Op has member benefits for just a $100 fully reimbursable fee.
In the summer, Amazing Grains has a Co-op garden a few blocks away from the store. You can pay for produce at the store, and then go pick out what you paid for from the garden. This is a fabulous way to get the freshest and best produce.
Super One (2771 32nd Ave. S., Grand Forks, ND) and Hugo's (1750 32nd Ave. S., Grand Forks, ND - the largest Hugo's in Grand Forks)
Super One and Hugo's are traditional large grocery stores. Both store chains carry a somewhat limited selection of organic food items. They both have a small fresh organic produce section and a dry-goods organic section. Both also have organic milk, yogurt and eggs.

Target carries a small assortment of organic produce with a fairly good selection. Target also carries quite a few organic food items shelved with regular non-organic items.
L&M Meats (2801 S. Washington, Grand Forks, ND)
L&M Meats sells organic whole chickens. This is the only organic meat they sell. However, the other meat they sell, while not organic, does not have the fillers and preservatives found in meat from other stores.

Sam's Club has a few organic items, primarily organic spring greens and organic spinach.
There are several local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) options available for summertime produce - direct from the farm. A local farm will deliver your box of produce to a local drop off point. Sign up in the spring to get a weekly box of farm-fresh produce during the summer and fall. Most local farms aren't certified organic, but utilize organic practices which you can ask the farmer about.
