Finding Out that You Are Pregnant!! Here Are 3 Real and Serious Complications that Could Happen to Anyone During the Course of Their Pregnancy

v
I am currently a 30 year old mother of 3 beautiful little girls. I use to think that being pregnant was the most wonderful thing in the world. Don't get me wrong, I love my daughters and would do anything in the world for them. Lately in this generation, I have heard more and more medical complications plaguing women right before delivery or during their pregnancy.

1. Preclampsia- I had preclampsia and from my understanding there are varying degrees of the this medical issue. A woman's blood pressure will spike up. Their diastolic number will be in the 90s and higher. Their body will start retaining lots of water. It is most noticeable in the leg area. Weight gain will be higher than normal.

2. Delivering way too early is another unhappy issue that could happen. My hairdresser told me that she delivered at 24 weeks. She is a healthy 27 year old and at the 24th week her water broke. The doctor's couldn't stop her delivery and she ended up delivering a 1.9 pound baby. Currently her son is still in the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit after 3 months of treatment.

3. Postpartum Conjestive Heart Failure- This is a condition that is very rare. I ended up going into heart failure after giving birth to my third child. No one saw it coming and their isn't much that any doctor knew about this condition. All is known is that this condition is very rare and doesn't happen very often. No more pregnancies is recommended if you have been diagnosed. These conditions are the ones that I am most familiar with. Everyone thinks that pregnancy is such a happy occasion. And it is until something goes wrong. Until then, I would like everyone to be aware that there are possible complications and to take care of their body while they are making the journey into mother hood.
