Finding peace in our community with the Good Neighbor Garden
Neighborhood: Republic St @ Leroy Street
Ferndale, MI 48237
United States of America
Join in the festivities as a local community tries to capture the nature around them. A local community has provided the citizens of Ferndale, Oak Park, Royal Oak, and Pleasant Ridge a cozy and loving place in the center of increased crime, and a declining economy.

The Good Neighbor Garden is attempting to bring life back to the community with the growth of its garden.

The mission "is to encourage, support, and promote a relationship between individuals, family, and the earth through gardening, education, and events."

Offering support is "Gleaners", a program that feeds thousands of families every year. They have a special plot growing food for families in the community. You don't need to be a member to get assistance.

The Good Neighbor Garden has a lovely space started with plenty of room left, and are asking for the community neighbors to pitch in and volunteer, donate, and continue this wonderful idea of community with them. To learn more on this great project visit www.goodneighborsgarden.org.
