Finding the Perfect Christmas Tree Topper Online

J. Darling
If you live in a small town, as I do, finding unique or desirable Christmas tree ornaments and toppers is difficult because of the lack of shopping choices. Luckily, Al Gore created the internet (haha) just for people like us who either can't find perfect tree accessories in town or who just like to shop online.

A tree topper ties the whole look of a tree together, much like the rug did for "The Dude's" living room in the movie "The Big Lebowski," but I digress. Today there are numerous topper options, in addition to variations on the traditional angel topper that we all grew up with.

Bronner's has a variety of tree toppers, including angels, bows, Santas, stars, and snowflakes. This silver starburst topper with pearl beads is one of my favorites on the site. It retails for $22.99 and would accent a black and purple or pink and silver themed tree perfectly. Another stand-out topper at Bronner's is the Gold Capiz Cross design which sells for $31.99.

The beauty of the Amazon.com marketplace is that you can search for items from a number of sellers at the same time and for products based on price. They have traditional stars as cheap as $1.74 to Swarovski crystal and gold toppers for $109.00. (There were more expensive toppers on the site, if you have that kind of cash to burn.) Amazon also sells unique toppers, like this lit Yoda piece for $32.99, a Mr. Spock topper for $38.99, and an Elvis topper for $49.99.

Christmas Central also carries the Elvis toppers in addition to a variety of other lit and unlit toppers. This matte gold finial topper would coordinate perfectly with a mardi gras themed tree and it sells for $13.99. This red and gold pinwheel star topper is also among the more colorful and decorative on the site. If you have a traditional green tree, this red, green, and white peppermint striped topper would be a good choice.

Target's website also has some cheap and colorful tree toppers, starting at $0.99.

So whether you're looking for a traditional star or angel topper, a ribbon topper, an ornate gold or silver piece, or something more unusual like a Yoda topper, there are plenty of places you can purchase decor online and have it conveniently shipped to your door in time for the holidays!
