Secrets Revealed

Every Bride has her own vision of what her perfect wedding gown will look like, ironically brides generally end up with a gown that is not at all what thy had envisioned. Part of this is due to the simple fact that the beautiful dress that you have been dreaming of, just doesn't look as wonderful on you as you thought it would. Every bride has her own unique body type and selecting the gown that flatters you the best can be a daunting process unless you have some guidance.
One of the of the biggest request of brides is to have a smaller, more defined waist line on there wedding day. There are a couple of different ways to get this affect. A popular trend right now is wedding gowns that have an asymmetrical wrap across the waist of the gown. This is a wonderful eye pleaser and this style looks the best on the majority of women. It not only adds definition to the brides waist it also adds interest to the gown itself. Another popular trend to trimming a few inches off of the waist is to get a gown that laces up the back. Traditionally these are called corsets. They can be some what uncomfortable for a long period of time but they defiantly do their job if laced correctly.
The second most popular body type challenge is accommodating and minimizing a large bust. This can be done best with a halter top gown. Finding a haler top that does not plunge in the front can prove to be a challenge, as a deep V has become somewhat of a fashion statement. Even if a gown seems to plunge to far keep in mind that it is an easy alteration to slip in a small modesty panel in the front to minimize cleavage.
Most importantly stay away from anything that doesn't make you feel beautiful. Women with very heavy breasts should stay away form strapless. Short and short waisted women should avoid any gown that has a seam that runs directly across their natural waistline (one inch above their belly button). This will only make short women look shorter and disproportionation. Short women should stay with gowns that have either a dropped waistline (a seam running across the hips), or gowns with no waistline seam at all. Remember that most woman shopping for wedding gowns don't have any idea what they are doing, so if you don't, you're not alone. Ask the advice of the professional in the bridal salons and take advantage of the services that they offer. They generally know what will look best on you. Keep an open mind and have fun with the process, you may end up with a gown that wasn't what you imagined but is more beautiful than you could have dreamed.
