So I started meditation because I needed to soothe my soul. I felt good rejuvenating my mind. It not only helps improve brain function, it refreshes your soul. Soon I was feeling better, but still overweight. So I started to slowly change my eating habits and exercise more.
I have had trouble holding a job. But now that I am happier, my boss wants me to keep working with her. She'd even give me a raise if she could afford to. I love my job. And I am a lot more peaceful. I just work with kids but meditation helps me stay calm and collected around youngsters and I am learning to find peace despite the fact that I have met with a lot of abuse in my life.
I don't know if I am really a genius or not. Some test I took said that I was. But I know that what matters is that you care about something. I care about people. And if there was one thing that could help you feel better, I would have to say, meditation. It helped me rest my weary head.
Some people think fame and glory is all that matters. I wouldn't mind just being a friend. I wanted to matter, but I know that I matter to God. We are each precious too him. I don't think he would have given me these trials if I wasn't to learn from them.
We are to treat life as a teacher. And I have learned there are a lot of crazy, abusive people out there. But the Lord says we are to not fear. To crucify the flesh. I have found meditation has made me braver to face these fears and to heal from heartbreak and pain.
I now wear a size 14. But I am five foot eight. So if I lost a little more weight, I would look even better. So I keep meditating, keep exercising, keep eating what's right for me and I have lost another 7 lbs since I started working at the daycare for a total of 58 pounds.
I find that nothing is especially difficult with losing weight, once you get control of your emotions. And by eating right, meditation, prayer, and exercise, it can be done. It just takes time. It took me close to 9 months to lose 58 pounds but I look and feel better than I have in a long time. I don't intend to starve myself to look like an emaciated giraffe, but I do intend to keep walking, and meditating and eating right for my health. And its all because I learned to rest my mind.
