Finding the Right Bible Study

Natasha Stiller
As Christians, it is imperative that we have an understanding of truth and God's word. I don't know about you, but I'm often confused or need discernment and even another person's perspective to dig into biblical study and understand why specific things were said or why specific things took place. Finding a Bible study to meet our needs can be a challenge, since we all truly have individualized needs.

I for one enjoy participating in small group discussions that provide learning opportunities without judgment, but with open hearts and minds that focus on answering questions, offering guidance and promote further study. I gain a great deal of insight from studying on my own and taking ideas or thoughts into a place of learning, but most importantly where my beliefs or questions aren't met with criticism or judgment. This is just me.

Some people really enjoy participating in large group studies that require little or no reading but are based solely on discussion and participating within a specific time-period.

Whatever your needs may be, it is essential to finding a group that nurtures your loving connection with others and with Christ. I am listing several resources that can help you locate a study that works for you. Try one alone, or with a friend or partner. Invite individuals that you know you will be able to talk to objectively about topics.

The relationships that are developed within your bible study will be a great addition to your life and help your provide a closer connection to God's word and to others.
