Finding the Right Keyword Phrases is All the SEO You Need to Know for Article Writing

Richard McDuff
SEO is such a complicated field, that not even the SEO specialists can agree on how Google's search algorithms work.

Your title is probably the most important element of your article. You will want to make sure that your keyword phrase or keywords are in the title. People search using more than one keyword, so use keyword phrases of at least 3 or 4 words, Try and use the maximium number of words that you can use in the title. We did this when we wrote titles for our ads at Ebay. We tried to think of what the keywords might be, and maxed them out. We never used irrelevant words in our titles, like wow. We always used words that people would search.

When writing articles the only SEO that you should have to worry about finding the right keywords and keyword phrases. I personally use Google's keyword tool to find the right keywords/phrases. I will look for keywords that have 6,000 to 10,000 searches and write them down. I will then slant my articles to the keywords that I want to use.

Keyword density is an interesting subject. I personally do not use keyword density. I will try and use keywords and keyword phrases in the title of my article and the first 300 words of my article. I will use these keywords and phrases three or maybe four times from the title down to the end of the first 300 words, but that is pretty well it. If you use it much more than that, you could be penalized for keyword spamming, and the search engines will drop your article from their searches.

If anyone can explain to me what Dr Garcia is arguing about in his article The Keyword Density of Non-Sense. I will try and master keyword density.

Many people who talk about SEO and articles, try and apply website search engine optimization theories to article writing. It just doesn't work. With websites, you have control of the domain name, the page name of each of the pages, the alt tags of the images, etc. With articles you have no control of any of these. The only control you have control over is the keywords in the title and in the content.

I do not want to write an article that is so awkward and strained that only search engine spiders can comprehend. We want to rank high in searches, but we also want people to read the articles, so they will come back and want to read more of your great articles.
