Finding The Root of Your Migraines

The One
I have had major headaches for as long as I can remember and have not found a remedy to cure them. Granted, there are over the counter remedies that only temporarily relieve the pain. I have tried different ways of relaxing and breathing to alleviate the pain, but nothing seems to fully take away the pain. I have taken all forms of painkillers. From over the counter medications to even prescribed medicines. I have even tried exotic herbs that reportedly relieve the symptoms of migraine headaches. I have looked everywhere to try to find a permanent cure, but unfortunately I have found nothing.

It is difficult to explain the pain of a migraine headache if you have never had one. First, the pain starts slowly in a particular area of the head. Next the pain starts to gradually build to the point of becoming unbearable. You feel dizzy and nauseous almost to the point of vomiting. One will become sensitive to light and sounds. Sometimes you wonder when the pain will will end. Sometimes you may get minor relief only to have the pain reoccur with even more vengeance. The pain is so excruciating that it feels as if someone is squeezing your head together between vices. At this point the pain is so unbearable the one would almost feel as if they will pass out. Finally the pain seems to disappear after 4-5 hour of almost unbearable pain.

Many people claim to have remedies for migraine sufferers. Physicians and doctors and even chiropractors have recommend all sorts of therapy, medications, ointments, herbs and vitamins and minerals to combat the symptoms of migraines. All of them have varying forms of effectiveness. Some offer little to almost no benefit to the migraine sufferer while others only provide fleeting relief. Sometimes it makes you wonder if doctors are in the business to prescribe medicines just to make a few extra dollars.

Over the years I isolated some of the causes of my migraines. Quick motion, such moving your head back and forth suddenly would cause the onset of the migraine symptoms. Also, looking down from tall buildings would induce vertigo and subsequently cause migraine headaches. Basically, most of the "cures" have all involved not putting myself in those situations to cause motion sickness or vertigo. My advice for migraine sufferers is to find out what triggers your headaches and try to avoid them. Good Luck!
