Finding Safe Games to Download

Ashley Bigham
Online games are a huge media outlet, and draw millions in every day, week, and month. There are literally thousands of free games and downloads on the internet that are advertised as safe and fun. Fun they are, not to be doubted, but safe? Anytime you download anything free from the internet you run the risk of installing harmful malware onto your computer. Unbeknownst to you, the game you just downloaded could have adware, spyware, Trojans, and other viruses bundled in with it waiting to unleash itself onto your computer. Once installed, this is often ridiculously hard to remove, and often requires the help of programs to find and eradicate it. Malware slows down your computer and makes it even more susceptible to other kinds of problems, security risks, and identify theft.

Finding quality games to download that doesn't come with annoying and unsafe software bundled to it can be a real hassle. Why download from sites that you don't know are absolutely safe? It's not worth the risk to you or your computer if you take chances and end up getting burned. That's why paid-for gaming sites are the best option. Some of these sites offer 800 million games to download, and much much more. Safe downloads are not just limited to games, but also music, video, and software. If you do a lot of online gaming, these sites might be a great alternative to getting adware and spyware mixed in with corrupted files. And you already know the quality of the game is ensured.

Some people might shrink away from the word "paid" but only because they don't know how affordable this option really is. The site I'm looking at right now offers unlimited downloads (a one time buy for life) for $35. You'd spend more money on the games in the stores! For a year subscription it's only $2.49 a month, and you're not limited on selection even then. I am personally not an online gamer; however, I do know a good deal when I see one. That's only one site, also. There are literally hundreds of sites like this. If you're looking for games online and are worried about getting malware onto your computer, this takes the hassle out of worrying. If you are interested in programs like this, do your research first. Just a cursory glance at a gaming review site led me to the dollar amounts I wrote about. Don't assume that if the price is higher or lower, it's a better deal. You may not be getting the guarantee that malware is not included or the support structure that some of these games sites have.
