You can find Santa all over the place in Philadelphia! The Christmas icon will be ready to for his close up at malls all over the place this year. Call ahead for Santa's schedule.
In my opinion, and the opinion of many others, the best place to visit Santa in the Philadelphia area is at the King of Prussia Mall in the Plaza. (The King of Prussia Mall has two areas for Santa, but the best is in the Plaza). Santa has been coming here for years, and it is obvious that he truly loves to see children in this setting. Come early and get a place in line to see Santa as he comes through and shakes everyone's hand on his way to the big chair. Admire the fantastic carousel and other wonderful holiday decorations!
Another good mall to see Santa is the Cherry Hill Mall. Santa's set-up here is also beautiful, and families will enjoy this experience.
If you are looking for the true Philadelphia Christmas look no further than Macy's in Center City. See the amazing lightshow on the first floor and then head up to the third floor for a magical walk through Dickens' Village. Then have your picture taken with a traditional Father Christmas.
If you want to take your dog or cat to visit Santa, stop by a Petsmart or a Petco on a weekend in December. Your pet can have a photo with Santa, and proceeds go to help homeless animals.
Check for Santa at any place you visit with your children, such as parks and museums. Santa can be found at Storybook Land in Southern New Jersey, on the railroad in New Hope, Pennsylvania and the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. Many area locations, such as Longwood Gardens, are offering breakfast with Santa and other fun.
Santa can also be found at Dilworth Plaza at the Philadelphia Christmas Village next to City Hall where the city's official Christmas tree will be lit.
Many local towns will have tree lightings and appearances by Santa, so check the towns near you. Some towns will have a parade. Others bring Santa in on a fire truck!
'Tis the season to see Santa everywhere you look, so keep your eyes open for the jolly old elf. You might be surprised where you will find Santa waiting!

Post a CommentJennifer, this is good stuff. My grandchildren pay close attention when the weather forecasters check their radar for him. This is so amusing, I have not the heart to tell them about Santa. I'd rather let time show them this. But they also know that Jesus will be coming in the air someday. I said yes, Jesus will bring a present too. Grandpa gets to live with them forever. They think that's just about as good as it gets. : - 0
