Finding Worthwhile PLR Articles

If you are at all involved in internet marketing, you will have heard of PLR articles, or Private Label Rights articles. They are all over the internet and have become the big thing in content for those who can't or won't hire a freelancer to produce 100% original content.

While PLR articles can be beneficial, you really have to find the right ones. For example, at the moment, there are a number of giveaways available to internet marketers and these all include massive jumbles of PLR products, including packs of 100+ PLR articles. This might seem like a good idea, being that they are free! However, imagine how many thousands of other webmasters are downloading the same articles. They become utterly useless, unless you are prepared to drastically rewrite them (nearly completely) in order to get around duplicate content problems.

There are also numerous membership sites that provide PLR articles based on popular niches, but these aren't necessarily a great deal, unless you are running hundreds of websites. For the average netpreneur, there are just a handful of usable niches that come up every three or four months on these sites, the rest of the articles are basically useless.

If you really want to find PLR articles that you can use, you have to know where to look. Membership sites are for the big boys, as mentioned above, the ones with zillions of mini-sites to draw in Adsense traffic. If you aren't one of them, you will need to find a more specialized source.

Also, when searching for PLR articles, you will want to find ones that are limited in the number of sales that will be made. The amount of rewriting is just too daunting if you are looking at articles that will be sold to hundreds of people! Instead, focus your search on small niche areas that limit their sales.

Start with a small business that sticks to tight niche areas. A good place to start is with article packs. These are bundles of tightly focused PLR articles, anywhere from 5-25 articles, that are based on popular niches and keywords. You will want to make sure that not a lot of other people are going to have access to the same article packs, so look for sites that limit their buyers to under 50. A good place to start your search is PLR Article Packs, where they only sell to 25 buyers.

You will also want to check out samples on websites where you are thinking of buying, to make sure that you aren't getting a bunch of poorly written articles. They should be of decent quality, even if you do plan to rewrite them to a certain extent. It is far more difficult to turn a bad article into a good one than to maintain a good one.

PLR articles can be a good way to go if you aren't an excellent content writer, but you do have to be careful as to which articles you use. Make sure they are high quality, relevant and won't be sold to a large number of people. With these tips in mind, you will be able to find articles that you can actually use!

I'm curious, is this what articles on AC are considered, or are they handled in an entirely different way?
