Historic Findlay Market has been around in Cincinnati for over 150 years, making Findlay Market the second oldest continually operating public market in the United States. Founded in 1852, Findlay Market continues selling fresh foods and other products in the Over-the-Rhine area of Cincinnati today.

Findlay Market attracts people from all over the area to purchase the freshest, most unique, and most delicious foods around. The Market House, the indoor hub of Findlay Market, houses about 30 merchants that sell goods ranging from amazing cakes and cookies to fresh deli meats to international cheeses, authentic Belguim waffles, fresh coffee, and tasty gelato. Outside of the Market House, over a dozen other merchants have store fronts surrounding the main hub of Findlay Market. Additionally, farmers and other merchants set up on the sidewalk around Findlay Market to sell seasonal goods in the warmer months.

Visitors to Cincinnati's historic Findlay Market will find an eclectic blend of people, cultures, and products. With Cincinnati's strong German heritage, it only makes sense that German foods dominate many of the merchants at Findlay Market. Sauerkraut, various wursts, smoked fishes, and German rye breads can be found at Findlay Market and are some of the most authentic German foods anywhere in the mid-west. Additionally, visitors to Findlay Market will find cheeses from all over Europe, cured meats from Italy, olives from the Mediterranean, and wine from around the world.

Despite being a wonderful place to find international foods, Findlay Market is still all Cincinnati. Cincinnati favorites are a staple at Findlay Market. Goetta, a local meat with German influences comprised of pork, beef, oats, and spices and formed into a loaf or patty, can be purchased fresh or prepared at multiple Findlay Market merchants.

While the wonderful and completely unique mix of foods and products at Findlay Market are what make the market such a great place to visit, the people add to the experience too. The people at Findlay Market are as eclectic as the products. People of all races, ethnicities, income-levels, and ages will be seen milling around together at Findlay Market each day. The merchants, most of which are second, third, fourth, or even greater generation merchants at the market take pride in their work and leave their customers feeling great about their purchases.

A visit to Cincinnati is not complete without a trip to Findlay Market in Over-the-Rhine. Located at 1801 Race Street, just East of Downtown Cincinnati, Findlay Market is open Tuesday-Friday 9:00-6:00, Saturday, 8:00-6:00 and Sunday 10:00-4:00. Free parking is available on site.
