Fine Dining Restaurant Review: Cafe NOVA: Oklahoma City Restaurant

Cafe NOVA

Envisioned by John Paul Merritt, Cafe NOVA is a jewel in the historic, Crown Heights neighborhood of Oklahoma City. John Paul Merritt was a finalist in The Bachelorette 3 and brings with Cafe NOVA a fine dining experience of Contemporary American Cuisine. Cafe NOVA's designers and architects captivate you in this Oklahoma City restaurant.

Inside, Cafe NOVA is both light and dark because of lighting and white reflecting mirrors. The dining area is both private and open atmosphere with booths lining walls, a few tables in the center and a beautiful bar. This local restaurant is deceiving because beyond the main room are other dining areas and patio.

Cafe NOVA: Contemporary American Cuisine

Cafe NOVA offers fine Contemporary American Cuisine for brunch, lunch or dinner. For my last brunch, I ordered Fish Tacos because I loved them in California. I wasn't disappointed with Cafe NOVA's grilled tilapia, poblano aioli and jicama slaw with black beans. The fish is tender with the right amount of spice from the aioli. The slaw and black beans add taste varieties so the entree seems like a buffet. I've stuck with Fish Tacos even though Cafe NOVA offers a Champagne Buffet.

My last lunch, I ordered the Super NOVA salad of pomegranate vinaigrette, blue cheese crumbles and dried cranberries. I love the lightness of this salad. It is also offered with entrees which usually finds me ordering Pecan Crusted Tilapia on house whipped-potatoes w/ asparagus. The crust is divine as is the fish. I'm not usually fond of potatoes but I eat every bite of these.

The Contemporary American Cuisine Dinner Menu offers a NOVA platter with any four appetizers. Shrimp and Scallop Ceviche has a perfect balance of shrimp and scallops with flavor that can only be described as deliciousio! The Hot & Cold Tuna is spicy, fresh sashimi tuna w/ wakame salad and ponzu is another favorite appetizer this fine dining restaurant offers.

For an entree, I usually order pecan crusted tilapia, spinach risotto and fire roasted tomato vinaigrette. It's pretty obvious I love Cafe NOVA's tilapia and I didn't realize it until I wrote this review. The flavors melt in your mouth with spices that tingle your senses. The coffee and Kahlua's are excellent and surprisingly, an added attraction is the water. It's in pitchers of ice and lemons so every glass has a hint of lemon that is just as captivating as the beauty of Cafe NOVA.

Needless to say, for a fine dining restaurant, I give 10+ out of 10 points for food, atmosphere and beauty for Cafe NOVA .

Type, I'm not getting notified about your articles, and I do have you listed as a fav-o-rite. Maybe you should tell the idiots.

I'm glad you received fine dining food and service at a fine dining price. So many times restaurants just charge more but aren't worth more.
