Fire Bricks, Knives, Tents, and Water

Useful Camping Thoughts

Tommy Hayfield
It's a little bit funny to think,
but when camping bring a brick

You can pound in your tent stakes,
and with a few fire bricks slow heat your fare

A knife is useful for those multiple moments
when your tv you're missing: whittle for fun
or to make that replacement tent stake

Your tent is useful, of course,
so don't pierce it with pointed jabbers...

tent stakes should be bagged
so your tent doesn't suffer

Don't go jabberwacky with your pointed things

You can't take it with you...
that's of course the creek you camp near...

At eight pounds per gallon your water
is a short hike nearby
rather than a long haul from home
