FireAnd Ice, a Poem

A Poem About What Could Lay Within Women

robritt
Ice and Fire

She does not in the quiet sleep,
but through the lonely night,
her mind intent to fabricate
what soul and body fight.

Ice doesn't in her veins grow cold,
The fire remains alive,
For passion, if the story be told,
will grow and still survive.

As volcanoes hold heat within,
their lofty walls so strong,
a woman's desire sometime wanes
through no fault of her own.

The fires still burn within her deep,
smoldering flames desire,
until the right one comes along
to rekindle, embers fire.

The sad part about this poem is that men think woman over 50 are dead. They aren't and when they ignor us it turns us cold but underneath it all there is still desire and much life. Glad you all seem to like this poem.
