Fired for No Reason: My Subway Experience
Neighborhood: 43rd bell
Glendale, AZ 85335
United States of America
When I first started working at this subway, on 43rd and bell road Glendale ,AZ on 6/16/06; I remember it like it was Yesterday, my first job, I was so happy and excited to start working, I was just a young teenager trying to find out about the work force and how it would be to have the responsibility of having my own money. The manager had me interviewed and during this interview I thought the manager was high on Meth or something, he was talking really fast and sweating quite a bit, I just assumed he was just that type of a person, as a business man maybe that is just how he presents him self.

The first day was o.k., they had no problem with training but the second day was a little different, there was drug dealing in the back room, even though the manager knew there was drug dealing he just told who ever was doing it, "I wont say the name" to just keep it cleaner so when the inspector comes around the inspector wouldn't know.

I wasn't very experienced with the job yet but after a couple mounts I knew what I was doing, then the one night that got me fired came around, I was on the register and maid a few cash drops, there was two new employees working with me that night, they were not suppose to touch the register that night only me, so everything went by o.k. that night.

I came back to work the next day, my boss said that he wanted to talk to me and asked how many cash drops I had maid that night I said " about 3 or 4 I'm not exactly sure" he said that $100.00 was missing from the cash drop bank and asked if I took it, I said "no I didn't take any money" and he showed me a tape of me on the register doing my job and not taking any money just me doing my job and said "well we think you took the money" and said I was fired.

I was so up set I didn't even know what I had done wrong I was so pissed I didn't know what to do, I thought maybe my mom could pick me up but we only had one car and she was already at work. I started walking down Bell road, wondering what to do, then finally I turned in to a neighborhood and punched the wall, I sat on the dirt floor and started to cry wondering what the hell just happened? I realized I shouldn't be crying for something I didn't even do. I walked to my boyfriends house because he was the only person I could really talk to when I was upset; I stayed there for the night.

The next day The Subway manager called me and said that he was sorry and that they had recounted the money and it was all there but then assumed that I some how snuck in and put it there. This was my statement on this subway, hopefully this has helped some people who live in AZ, that might be looking for a part time job, this is my bad experience at subway and this is all true, sad huh?
