Firefox Add-on Check4Change is a God Send for Online Bargain Shoppers

Ryanick Paige
As an avid online shopper, I am always disappointed when an item is out of stock or no longer available. I have learned that these items often come back into stock at different times without warning or reason to when. The Firefox web browser has an add-on that has made my online shopping experience a lot less frustrating, it is called check4change.

If you are already running Firefox, you are already halfway there. If not it can be downloaded at www.mozilla.com. Once it is downloaded and installed, you will want to go back to www.mozilla.com and at the top of the screen click on the add-on tab. Once the page is loaded you will see a search window near the top of the screen, type in check4change, and click search.

Click on the Check4change and then click install now. It will walk you through the rest of the step. Once it is downloaded and ready to go you will have to close Firefox down to finish the installation process. The next time you open your Firefox web browser check4change will be installed and ready for use.

For the check4change to work you will need to leave your computer on and the web page you are checking open. You will highlight the words out of stock, no longer available, or something that effect. Then right click the mouse, go down to check4change, and select how often you would like the page checked. I usually use 15 seconds because generally when things come back into stock they have a very limited number and can go back out of stock very quickly.

When using the check4change to check for products that are out of stock you will want to finish your online shopping very quickly once the item is back in stock. If you have coupon codes for the site have them written down beside you so you do not have to go looking for them. Have your charge card or any other information ready. If you already have an account with the online store you are shopping at this process will be even quicker.

The Firefox check4change add-on is not a sure thing. It does alert you when the item becomes available but you need to be quick. It has enabled me to pick up many items at great prices by alerting me when the product was back in stock. The free Firefox add-on is a great addition to any online shoppers experience and makes your wallet happy as well.

I've been thinking of using firefox, there seem to be a lot of advantages to it, this is just one more reason to make the switch.

That's a cute mug in the photo! I use Firefox, and find it sometimes runs faster than IE as well. Not too much on an on-line shopper though.
